jaques wirtz

woke up to a stellar morning in the city with a still lit moon at 7 am.

i had a bunch of paperwork to do so naturally i procrastinated in the garden.

i seriously sheared back the rosemary into rounds...

and started to round out the tea tree and juniper between the lemon and apple tree -which will take longer to shape.

i have been recently looking at the gardens of the belgian landscape designer jacques wirtz -who is know for his cloud bushes and the way his gardens are highly groomed but at the same time not.

i mean, how awesome is that.

 love this spine of grass.

i like the way he uses loose grasses against the sheared forms, which is what i'm going for with the maiden grass (which will get huge) i planted between the rosemary rounds this summer.
