trunk rehab

i have a love for vintage trunks so i was so happy to get this one from poutchi to add to my collection.

it was super dirty and the black paint was rubbing off.

 many buckets of black water to clean it up.

 i glued cork to the bottom so it doesn't scratch the floor.

i used this wax that i still have from my days working at cow hollow woodworks to both seal the fragile paint and to add a little shine.

looks good. i like the way it matches the black doors and kit's black bed. i'm using it to store old photographs for now.
