Spiders vs. Snakes

The saying goes that people are either freaked out by snakes OR spiders, but not usually both.  I become really unhinged by snakes and don't really mind spiders as much, however....

this dude has been hanging out above the rear retaining wall for more than a week and he's really bumming me out.  

I generally try to follow the philosophy "all creatures big and small" but this guy needed to move on so I trashed his web yesterday but left him to live another day.
