Powder Room

Today I set out to spruce up the powder room.

I had a bunch of one dollar frames from Urban Ore that I wanted to reframe with the kid's art to add to the gallery in there.

While I worked, I set up the electric train for Kit which he found incredibly exciting.
I also had some old blue frames that I sprayed satin black.

I know that painting out the trim is sort of all the rage right now and I guess that's why I've been thinking the white baseboards don't look right in here. My sister was way ahead of the curve on this and was using this technique like ten years ago.
Frog tape is the best and worth the extra money.

Benjamin Moore's trout grey, eggshell finish, aura. Always use the same brand and series when matching, i.e don't use regal if you started with aura -the sheen won't be exact.
 Gallery wall before.
After. The goal is to fill the entire wall completely.

I'd love to have a vintage mounted fish above the mirror.

Liking the new look.
