The Good And The Not Zer Gut: The Kitchen

The good:
I usually make blackberry pies rather than blueberry but trader joe's had some organic frozen wild blueberries, which are smaller, that I thought I'd try.

Mix with instant tapioca and dump in pre-made crust. No sugar.
 Glaze with apricot jam and bake for 1 hour @ 375.

The not zer gut:
I admit that these lentils have been sitting around for a while but I figured these things are dried and should last forever, right?
Well I cooked them up with some minced onions and let them simmer a bit when I noticed that something looked a little funny...
Yes, it's true.  Those are bugs in there!!!! Gross, right? Went with plan B for dinner which thankfully wasn't cereal.
