I'm so bored of the garage project, I need to think about something else. Let's watch my espaliers grow instead, shall we? That should provide some real excitement around here :}
Here's how they looked at the end of March, when I first suspected that I might get apples for the first time.
At Easter.
Just about to pop into bloom.
Flowers start pink and then turn to white.Tree on the left had many more blossoms than on the right.
Flowers drop off and then the apple starts to take form.
Whoot!Yabba Dabba Doo. I'm so excited to finally have apples this year.

Apples!!!!
Thanks Shannon, I'm really glad to hear that you are still interested in the garage project after what feels like the zillionth post. Table built but not varnished and tool organization feels very far off! _Caitlin
p.s. yes apples will grow if you don't overzealously prune back the old wood like an idiot (me). I really don't know what I'm doing with those trees!
