One Room Challenge: The Shed -Week Four

Welcome back to week four of the One Room Challenge sponsored by Calling it Home. That's right, one room. Six weeks. Boom.

I believe I've finally made it over the hump, in converting the shed into a work space. Don't get me wrong, there's still a lot to do but almost all of the serious manual labor is over. Here are week one, week two and week three in case you need to get up to speed.

First up this week was a highly successful trip to Ikea on Monday for some lighting and styling items.

Tuesday was a trip to the fabric store where I scored this beatimous Burberry wool and sewed a pillow that evening.

Last week's post had me explaining that I was going to try to repurpose as many things as possible for this project. Today I did just that with this table that used to live in the upstairs hall. Thank god, right? This thing looks hideous here.

Hello Rustoleum oil paint in black. Still needs one or two more coats, but is looking so much better. I moved a different table/desk into the hallway but that will be a later post.

I repaired this frame the other day when I framed my Mollusk art with the idea that I might use it -we'll see. I feel it could go either way and won't know until I style everything else out.

Be sure to check out all the other great projects going on at the link rinker fink section at Linda's. Good stuff and plenty of new blogs to begin following.

How many floors does your home have? Yes, huge improvement on that table and this may become my favorite feature in your space. Love the pillow.

That table is going to look terrific! You're brave for working with oil paint, that is my least fav thing to do!

Three above the garage. It makes for a lot of stair climbing and hopefully a tighter butt! I live in the city so the only way to gain more space is to go up ;) -Caitlin

I hope everything goes smoothly, I'll be thinking of you. What hospital? Both my boys were born at CPMC. -Caitlin
p.s. table is looking so much better in black even in its beaten up state.

You mean because it turns your house into a Superfund Site? Scary thing is that the smell of that stuff reminds me of my youth :} -Caitlin
