Finished! Two Slipcovered Chairs

As promised, here are some final shots of the two slipper chairs for which I recently made some slipcovers.

The fabric is Les Fleurs Folk Birds Black Canvas by Cotton and Steel Rifle Paper Company. I bought 10 yards for 194$. I had about 1 yard left over and a lot of scrap. I will probably use the remnants for contrast piping for other projects, it is just so lovely.

Because these chairs are so colorful, I decided to tone down the tulip table which was previously painted aqua (seen here). It seemed just too much. Currently it is only covered in Bulls Eye 1*2*3 primer, which I kind of like. It's matte and unfussy. The table is a fake, albeit a pretty good one.

These chairs were a warm up run for a more major couch slipcover project that I want to tackle. It's a three seater, with curved arms and t-cushions and I want to do it in a stripe! I've already purchased the fabric so I'm committed. Yikes.

*Part one and two of this slipcover project, if you'd like to take a peak.

Cheers and happy sewing :)
